Dr. Lisa Wuyek is a licensed psychologist specializing in the treatment of anxiety disorders and Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD). She uses treatment strategies that have been validated by research (empirically supported treatments). She specializes in cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), particularly exposure and response prevention (ERP).
Since earning her Ph.D. in 2007, Dr. Wuyek’s practice, teaching, and research have focused on anxiety, OCD, and related disorders. Dr. Wuyek has trained and worked at several high-profile institutions, including the Menninger Clinic OCD Treatment Program and Johns Hopkins Anxiety and OCD Clinics. She has provided intensive inpatient CBT and ERP for treatment refractory OCD and other anxiety disorders, as well as intensive outpatient and standard outpatient treatment.
Prior to starting her current practice, Dr. Wuyek co-directed the Anxiety and OCD Clinics at Johns Hopkins, providing patient care, working on research, and teaching psychiatry residents and medical students about anxiety disorders and OCD. She also directed the Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy Training for psychiatry residents at Johns Hopkins.
